Lean & Going Green
Taking a load off
cooling and carbon footprints.

Energy savings are a win-win
Energy savings are a win-win Cold rooms and storage run around the clock. Unsurprisingly, refrigerated warehouses are some of the biggest energy consumers among commercial buildings. This is why energy efficiency is a big part of our upcoming cold room facilities expansion plan.

Solar and automation
To offset the high energy use of cold storage facilities and temperature-controlled loading docks, our warehouses run on both solar and conventional power. This split system allows us to reduce traditional power consumption while keeping refrigeration and lighting going at all hours. Remote temperature monitoring, insulation, and low heat emitting LED fixtures also help minimize cooling load so less electricity is needed to maintain low temperatures.

Reducing carbon emissions
With cold storage demands increasing by the day, embracing renewables and automation is more than a matter of dollars and cents. We owe it to the communities where we do business to limit the impact of our activities on the spaces we share.
